Who this Book is Good For: Experienced Leaders
For me, this book struck a chord because, unknowingly, it taught an approach to leadership that matched my personal strengths and style. At the beginning of the book, I was fascinated by the lessons about how the human brain works—specifically, how we learn and form habits. Using this newly minted knowledge, Quiet Leadership teaches that, as leaders, it is much more effective to guide our team members to answers instead of quickly “giving” them. Traditional and instinctive styles of leadership don’t allow people to learn and develop to their maximum potential.
My personal Clifton Strength Theme of “Individualistic” was nourished by the ability to work with each individual on my team using a unique development approach. There is no doubt that reading this book and adopting its lessons will allow leaders to grow the capabilities of their team.
Enjoy!
